Cyclone Ditwah Emergency Relief through two Upcountry care homes and a school

The cyclone Ditwah has devastated Sri Lanka. According to the UN agency International Organization for Migration, as of Dec 24, 2025 1,788,572 individuals are impacted, 272,536 individuals are displaced and 107,283 homes are partially or fully damaged.  643 people are dead and 183 are missing.  The Upcountry region, including Kandy, Badulla, Kegalle and Nuwara Elliya are severely impacted.

LetUsHelpNow Foundation have been actively monitoring the situation and evaluating how best to allocate its resources to the most needed people. After discussing with people on the ground, officials, as well as care homes, we have decided to provide assistance through two care homes (Upcountry Children's Home  - Badulla, Maranatha Children's Home  - Hatton) and a school (Badulla Spring Valley Tamil Mama Vidyalayam).
