Three Computers for Dharisanam School for the Visually Handicapped

Dharisanam School for the Visually Handicapped (Batticaloa) has been serving the visually impaired community since 1992. Currently, 20 children are staying and studying at the school. Five teachers use braille to teach the children.  The school has sent 37 students to higher studies at the universities over the years.

The school has a computer lab, however, only one computer was functioning. Though there is a dedicated computer teacher, the lack of functioning computers made it difficult to teach computer skills.

The school requested a minimum of two additional computers to facilitate computer learning. LetUsHelpNow provided funds for three new computers.  Dharisanam was able to restart computer based classes.
