The Vanni Association for Visually Handicapped was established to assist individuals who lost their eyesight during the years of war in the North and East of Sri Lanka. For the month of April, the LetUsHelpNow Foundation is assisting the organization in expanding its chilli cultivation and launching a poultry farming initiative. This project includes preparing an additional ½ acre of land and installing a sprinkler irrigation system to ensure efficient water usage. Furthermore, the introduction of poultry farming and azolla cultivation will help improve the livelihoods of the association's 278 member families. The income generated will assist all members while providing direct support to eight staff members from women-led households working on the farm
