Water Purification System for Sivan Elders Home, Vavuniya
Sivan Elders Home (Vavuniya, Northern province) currently cares for 98 elders. Twenty six elders are bedridden. Twenty seven have acute mental health needs.
The care home is currently using two small water purification systems to obtain water for daily needs such as drinking and cooking. However, due to salinity in the water, the cost of maintaining these systems has been increasing. Furthermore, the water from these systems is insufficient to meet the care home’s needs.
To address this issue, the care home has requested a water purification system. The approximate budget for this system is LKR 700,000. The price details, uses of the purifier, and related information such as maintenance are being investigated.
We have previously provided similar purifiers to two care homes like this, and we are consulting with them to incorporate their feedback into this project.
சிவன் முதியோர் இல்லத்தில் (வவுனியா, வடக்கு மாகாணம்) தற்போது 98 மூத்தோர்கள் பராமரிக்கப்பட்டு வருகிறார்கள். இவர்களில் 27 மூத்தோர்கள் மூப்பின் காரணமாக படுத்தவாறு உள்ளவர்கள்.
இங்குள்ள தண்ணீரின் உப்புத்தன்மை காரணமாக தற்போது இரண்டு சிறிய தண்ணீர் சுத்திகரிப்பு கருவிகள் மூலம் தங்களது குடி நீர் மற்றும் சமையலுக்கு தேவையான நீரைப் பெற்றுக்கொள்கிறார்கள். இவை போதுமானதாக இல்லாததும், இவற்றினது திருத்தச் செலவுகள் அதிகரித்த வண்ணமும் உள்ளது தற்போதைய நிலையாகும்.
இதனை நிவர்த்தி செய்ய, புதிய தண்ணீர் சுத்திகரிக்கும் கருவி ஒன்றினை பெற்றுத்தருமாறு வேண்டுகிறார்கள். இதற்கு அன்னளவாக ரூபா 700,000 தேவைப்படலாம். இதற்கான விலை விபரங்கள், கருவியின் பயன்பாடுகள், தொடர்ச்சியான பாராமரிப்பு போன்ற விடயங்கள் ஆராயப்பட்டு வருகிறது.
அத்துடன் கடந்த காலங்களில் நாம் அவ்வாறான கருவிகளை இரண்டு இல்லங்களுக்கு வழங்கியுள்ளதால் அதன் பாவனையாளர்களின் உள்ளீடுகளையும் பெறுகிறோம்.
